TIE – Alternative Measures

From November 20th to 24th LaborBerlin participated in the Alternative Measures Festival in Colorado Springs (US). The festival focused on the work made in independent labs and film collectives around the world. Besides screenings, installations, panels and workshops, participants took time to talk about the future of analog film and how to strengthen the network of independent film labs and collectives.
Iana Stefanova, Oscar de Gispert, Meg Rorison, Anja Dornieden and Juan David González Monroy presented two programs of films, multiple projections and performances by our members in Super8 and 16mm. They also taught a workshop on how to start a D.I.Y. film lab with an introduction to shooting and hand developing 16mm film.
Special thanks to the Goethe Institut in New York and German Films for their travel support.
Here is an article written about the event.
